50 Years of Oakchurch

LOOKING FOR PICTURES FROM THE PAST

Local farming family, Ros and Edward Price, are celebrating the 50th Anniversary of their farm shop, Oakchurch, in Staunton-on-Wye.

“Yes, it was 50 years ago that my parents started selling pick-your-own strawberries from a little wooden shed on the side of the road on the busy A438 Brecon Road.” Said Nick Price. “Oakchurch Farm Shop has come on a long way since then!”

The family want to commemorate this significant milestone year through a picture storyboard on a wall at the farm shop and they’re asking for your help to find old photographs that you’ve taken over the years anywhere in county. It could be of people, places, shows and events, and even family celebrations.

“We’re hoping that we might even get some pictures that have been taken here at Oakchurch.”

WIN A HEREFORDSHIRE HAMPER
As an incentive to get you rummaging through your old photos, Oakchurch Farm Shop are offering one of their luxurious ‘Taste of Herefordshire’ food hampers worth £250 as a draw prize and everyone who supplies a pictures will be entered.

“We’d love to see your pictures.” Said Nick. “So please send them to me by email to nick@oakchurch.net. In the first instance just take a snap of your photograph with your phone and email it to me. At a later date we’ll get in touch so we can borrow your picture for a few days and make a copy of it.”
