A Christmas Carol
European Arts Company return to The Courtyard this Christmas with two performances of the festive classic, A Christmas Carol.
A Christmas Carol was the first public reading Dickens gave of his own work. He enacted it over 150 times and the effect it had on the public was phenomenal. This Christmas, audiences can experience what it would have been like to be there as actor John O’Connor recreates Charles Dickens’ famous performance of his best-loved ghost story.
John O’Connor is an actor, director, writer and producer. He studied Drama at the University of Manchester before living and working in Japan. In 2002, he founded European Arts Company and has been touring across the UK and Europe with pieces including The Trials of Oscar Wilde, which John co-wrote and produced, The Importance of Being Earnest, Lady Windermere’s Fan and The Picture of Dorian Gray.
European Arts Company invite audiences to a seasonal treat in the spirit of Christmas past, present and future.
A Christmas Carol will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Tuesday 17 & Wednesday 18 December at 7.45pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk.
