Once again, you’ll be taken back back to the Georgian era this Christmas; discover traditional decorations, atmospheric evening lighting, fireplaces brimming with dried flowers, a candlelit dining table, magnificent Christmas trees and a spectacular take on a sack back court dress from the later part of the eighteenth century which takes centre stage in the Staircase Hall.
Once you’ve explored the mansion, head outdoors to enjoy frosty winter walks down to the lake, build your best den in the den building area and pose for a photo with our famous yew ball puddings. Don’t forget to follow the Christmassy trail around the gardens and find out how the Georgians would have celebrated the festive season. This trail is free and won’t include a prize.
Pop into the Stables cafe for your favourite takeaway drinks and snacks, including hot chocolate, sandwiches and warming one-pots. Don’t forget to try the festive menu, which includes millionaire hot chocolate, gingerbread muffins and snowball chocolate fudge cake.
To avoid disappointment please book your visit to Berrington Hall in advance, especially at busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. If you do not book admission cannot be guaranteed. Check out their What’s On page for more details.
