“The Art of the Print” Exhibition of Prints and Printmaking
“The Art of the Print” Exhibition at Aardvark Books is an exhibition of antique and contemporary prints and printmaking, with demonstrations of linocut , woodcut, and collagraph printing by Drusilla Cole.
The exhibition is designed to highlight the full range of what is possible in the medium of print, and brings together works by contemporary print makers as well as antique prints from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It includes works by master printmakers Frank Brangwyn, CRW Nevinson and the Japanese ‘Floating World’ artist Kuniyoshi.
A particular emphasis is placed on showing works created using different printing techniques such as engraving, colotype, aquatint, linocut and lithograph.
Opening Saturday 5th May 11am-2pm, with complimentary glass of wine, soft drinks and nibbles available.
