Botanical Printing, May half-term workshop – for young people 7 – 14
Join Kitty Percival for a creative, hands-on workshop for young people inspired by the beautiful gardens at The Rodd. This workshop invites you to explore botanical printing techniques, using natural materials gathered from the surrounding landscape.
Participants will experiment with a range of exciting printmaking processes, including:
Monoprinting – creating unique, one-of-a-kind prints using leaves, flowers, and organic textures
Cyanotype printing – an early photographic process using sunlight to produce striking blue prints from botanical forms
Working both indoors and outdoors, young artists will draw inspiration directly from the gardens, learning how to observe, collect, and transform natural materials into expressive artworks.
