Herefordshire’s Great Spring Gardening Event, in aid of the British Red Cross, will once again return to Newport House, in Almeley, north Herefordshire on 26 April 2018.

A stalwart of the events calendar for Herefordshire, this is the county’s largest fundraising occasion, contributing towards the invaluable services that the British Red Cross delivers every day in our local communities, as well as their amazing national efforts.

Visitors will have the chance to enjoy this wonderful large privately owned garden, not usually open to the public, as well as purchase high quality plants and flowers from specialist nurseries, garden accessories, crafts, gifts and fashion.

Enjoy great walks and talks on foraging with Adele Nozedar, a cookery talk and demonstration from award-winning chef Andy Link, Newport House walled garden tours with their Head Gardener, and live music from international violinist Ralph Allin at 1pm.

Plus there’s delicious food inside the lovely tea tent, and from selected artisan purveyors.

Open 10.30am – 4pm

Tickets £6 in advance and £7 on the gate

Book your tickets in advance on  www.redcross.org.uk/great-spring-garden

The money raised will help the Red Cross support people in crisis in Herefordshire by contributing to Red Cross services including support at home after a stay in hospital, wheelchair loans and transport to medical appointments, independent living services, as well as first aid at events, first aid training and support in emergencies like floods or severe weather. The British Red Cross would like to thank the following sponsors for their generous support of this annual event: Ellis Properties, CW Garden Marquees, Balfour Beatty Living Places, A Plush Flush, Impact Design & Print, Pork & Two Veg, Hereford Rotary Club.
