Cathedral Spring Garden Opening

On Friday 22 March, the beautiful gardens at Hereford Cathedra will be open to the public to explore this Spring.

From 10 am – 3.30 pm, you will be able to see all of the hard work that has been undertaken by our volunteer gardeners before the gardens officially open for our summer tours and events.

Visit the Chapter House Garden, Cloister Garden, Canon’s Garden and lower Dean’s Garden, and meet the Cathedral Garden Guides who will be based within the gardens to offer any information about our wonderful, historic gardens. This is a self-led event, designed to be a relaxed way to view the tranquil gardens at your own pace. There are plenty of spaces within the gardens to sit and look out over the peaceful River Wye, a perfect way to take a break from the busy day-to-day.

There will be two sessions throughout the day:

Morning entry: 10am – 12.30pm

Afternoon entry: 12.30pm – 3.30pm

You are welcome to arrive any time within these sessions. It typically takes around 40-50 minutes to view the gardens, but this event is designed to work at your own pace.
