Clive Anderson: Me, Macbeth and I
Seasoned comedian, presenter and writer Clive Anderson will be bringing his tour Me, Macbeth & I to The Courtyard this July.
The host of Whose Line Is It Anyway, Loose Ends and Talks Back will be performing his much-anticipated first ever solo tour, in a one-man show guaranteed to be funnier than Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy.
Anderson was involved in the alternative comedy scene in the early 1980s and was the first act to come on stage at The Comedy Store when it opened in 1979. After winning a British Comedy Award in 1991, Anderson began experimenting with comedy and writing comedic scripts during his 15-year legal career, before starring in Whose Line Is It Anyway? on BBC Radio 4, then later Channel 4 and becoming a regular on the screen and radio.
In addition to his own material, Anderson is also a comedy sketch writer and has written for Frankie Howerd, Not the Nine O’Clock News, and Griff Rhys Jones. As well as writing comedy, Anderson is also a frequent contributor to newspapers, and was a regular columnist for The Sunday Correspondent.
Clive Anderson: Me, Macbeth and I will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Thursday 6 July at 7.30pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
