CONCERTS FOR CRASWALL present ENSEMBLE MOLIERE
Join the first ever BBC Radio 3 New Generation Baroque Ensemble as they celebrate “Telemann and his Friends in Paris”
In 1737, the German Baroque composer Georg Telemann visited Paris at the invitation of some of the greatest musicians in France: flautist Michel Blavet, violinist Jean-Pierre Guignon, and gambist Jean-Baptiste Forqueray. To celebrate his visit, Telemann’s twelve sets of “Paris Quartets” were performed by these musicians and Telemann himself, making friends and making music. Join us for a celebration of this gathering, as recounted by Ensemble Molière.
