Creative Writing Workshop

Creative Writing Workshop with Judy Dinnen, part of The Knife Angel, Hereford visit.
Creative Writing workshops, led by Judy Dinnen. We will start by the amazing Knife Angel, gaze at her/him, listen to her/him, ask her/him questions. Then in the Pavilion we will share our reactions and put responses into word, as dialogue, story or poetry. We will share in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. We welcome everyone from 14 to 90. Beginners and experienced writers welcome.
We may learn what the angel has to say to us and what we can share with our families and communities.
Judy is both poet and priest with an M.A. in the Practice and Teaching of Creative Writing from Cardiff. She is co writing a book of poems for Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and writing a book of poems and reflections about her experience as hospital chaplain.
Also known as the National Monument Against Violence and Aggression, this magnificent 27ft statue built from 100,000 confiscated knives and blades will come to the city on Monday 14 June and will remain in place outside the West door of Hereford Cathedral until 12 July.
The Knife Angel will be located outside the cathedral and will be free to visit with no need for visitors to book in advance. Relevant precautions, including a one-way system around the Knife Angel and volunteer stewarding teams, will be in place during the day to help welcome and guide visitors.
