Explore the Creepy Crawly Trail
Young adventurers can take on a special Creepy Crawly Trail around the castle grounds, in partnership with Zoolab. Scattered throughout the castle grounds, fun fact boards will introduce you to a variety of fascinating creatures. Each board reveals a unique animal and a letter – can you collect all the letters to spell out the secret word? As you explore, you’ll learn about each animal and enjoy a variety of puzzles and activities included in your free activity pack. Complete the trail and pick up your special certificate at the Castle Gift Shop.
Up-Close Animal Encounters
For an even wilder experience, stop off to see some of these animals for yourself! Perfect for brave little ones, children can handle real animals, guided by experts from Zoolab, who will be here in the outer bailey all day. Meet the likes of snakes, spiders, snails and more. Learn weird and wonderful facts about these awesome creatures. No booking is required. And it’s not limited to children – if you want to overcome your fear of creepy-crawlies, now is the time to do it!
