Fragile Earth Exhibition
Delicate white installations, wall pieces, and sculptural items evoke natural forms—trees, flowers, seedpods, insects, and sea life. Paper, pulp, scrim, waste silk fibres, and silk are transformed through stitch, embroidery, dipping, collage, and moulding into an ephemeral landscape through which visitors may wander. These works can be seen as ghostly reminders of what we once had but may now be losing—or, more hopefully, as glimpses of a fragile and delicately balanced ecosystem that can still be saved, if we choose wisely.
This exhibition continues Canwood Gallery’s mission to engage with art that is both beautiful and thought-provoking—where material meets meaning, and small things carry great weight.
