Gala Organ Concert at Hereford Cathedral

Peter Dyke will be giving a Gala Organ Concert, entitled Pilgrimage and Procession, on Tuesday 8 September at 7pm as part of this year’s summer organ recital programme.

Peter Dyke has held the post of Assistant Organist and then Assistant Director of Music at Hereford Cathedral for the last 28 years, accompanying up to eight choral services each week as well as regularly playing for the cathedral choir on overseas tours and on frequent radio and television broadcasts.
He is responsible for the cathedral’s popular organ recital series, and has acted as Festival Organist at the last nine Hereford Three Choirs Festivals. Earlier this year he covered a second interregnum period, before the cathedral’s new director of music, Andrew Reid, took up his post in April.
