Also enjoy the children’s play area, which is situated near the mansion and the perfect place for your little ones to let of steam as they run, jump and skip around the play equipment. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, then why not head over to the den building area, where little adventurers can put their creative skills to the test to create their own shelter.
Inside Berrington Hall – Imagine life as a Georgian lady or gentleman as you uncover the fascinating history of the families that have lived here. On the first floor, learn more about the wide world of Georgian dresses with the ‘A Dress Fit for a King’ exhibition. You’ll also find historic skirts, jackets, and hats at the dressing up station, which have all been created by the volunteer sewing team.
Out in the parkland, the walks are pretty flat and child friendly. You can use an off-road buggy in the parkland but please be aware that some areas can be a little boggy in wet weather. The paths around the pool and into Moreton Ride have recently reopened, however may be temporarily or partially closed during the winter if we experience particularly wet weather. If this is the case, you can still get close to the pool to view the fantastic birdlife on the mansion side.
