Glamping Pottery Fun For Half Term

Eastnor Pottery, near Ledbury, Herefordshire is delighted to announce details of its fun and creative sessions for families in the approaching half term holiday.

GLAMPING provides the inspiration and participants get to model bespoke and desirable holiday accommodation from squidgy soft clay.

“It might be a shepherds hut, yurt, vintage caravan or bell tent” commented Jon ‘the Potter’ Williams. “We’ll show you the basic technique then it’s up to you what you do!” he continued.

The creative fun does not stop there either. As soon as they have finished modelling their getaways, families can paint their creations with coloured underglazes and slips.

What with restrictions and uncertainty on overseas travel, a lot of UK holiday makers will be looking to stay closer to home. What better way to start getting excited about Summer vacation than realising your dream holiday accommodation in clay!

The work will need to dry thoroughly before it’s fired and glazed. This whole process takes about a month and participants will be contacted once their pottery has emerged from the kiln. If customers are unable to collect their masterpieces, P+P can be arranged at £5 per model.

Due to social distancing we haven’t space for spectators (sorry!) and all children need to be accompanied by at least one fee paying grown-up!
