Featured Hay Maker
Victoria Keeble has been a member of the hay makers since 1987. Victoria uses several printmaking techniques which include etching, screen-printing, collagraph, wood engraving and linocut. Victoria trained as a textile designer at Falmouth School of Art and worked in the industry for the United Turkey Red Company. Victoria designed and hand embroidered silk shirts and kaftans for ‘Mr Fish’ in London.
Victoria studied at Hereford College of Art and more recently at West Dean College and the Sidney Nolan Trust. Since becoming a printmaker her work has become more illustrative and incorporates a love of pattern and texture, which have always been important elements for her. The subject matter is often influenced by classic legends and fairy tales and typically features natural forms including animals, birds and mythical beasts.
The gallery is open 7 days a week, Monday to Saturday 10.30 – 5.00 and on Sunday from 11.00 till 4.00.
