Hellens Music

Hellensmusic Festival

Hellensmusic returns featuring performances from world class musicians from the UK and Europe.

Local young musicians, schoolchildren and advanced music students feature in concerts and masterclasses.

Hellensmusic is an annual music festival taking place every Spring, at Hellens Manor, at the local church St Bartholomew’s, and at the Walwyn Arms all in the village of Much Marcle, Herefordshire.

Hellensmusic is a music festival that takes place every Spring over five days at Hellens Manor in Herefordshire. The event’s aims are threefold: to bring exceptional musicians to work together in intimate surroundings exploring new ideas; to provide talented music students from all over the country with the opportunity to learn from world-class professionals in the field; and to bring great music to a lost corner of England, inspiring local audiences, both children and adults, to a greater understanding and appreciation of all music.

The event has a strong focus on music education and training for the young. The main concerts take place in the early evenings, and during the day the performing musicians deliver a series of masterclasses to talented students from the UK’s best music schools and colleges. During five days of intense musical work, students have the chance to learn from renowned professionals coming from some of the best orchestras and ensembles in the world.  The course culminates in a final concert where students will have the opportunity to showcase the insights achieved over the week.
