
Hereford Cathedral Coronation Celebration
Everyone is invited to join Hereford Cathedral to celebrate The Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort at one of the following events and services across the Coronation weekend.
Hereford Cathedral School & Hereford Cathedral present, A Concert for the Coronation
Friday 5 May 2023, 7pm
A concert of uplifting, celebratory and patriotic music. Performed by the choirs, concert band and symphony orchestra of Hereford Cathedral School, the programme will feature Coronation anthems and music by Parry, Handel, Walton and Vaughan-Williams including some favourites from the Last Night of the Proms repertoire!

Café on the Close
Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 May, 11 am – 3.30 pm
Celebrate in the Cathedral Close with refreshments from our new pop up cafe area! Why not bring a picnic blanket and have a Big Lunch with your friends?
Coronation Exhibitions
Wednesday 3 – Friday 19 May, during normal opening hours
Visit the cathedral to view photographs from royal visits throughout the years, an archive display of royal seals and documents and a selection of artwork by local primary schoolchildren celebrating King Charles’ values.

Join the cathedral in celebrating the Feast of Consecration and the Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort.
Service to Celebrate the Coronation of The King
Sunday 7 May, 3.30 pm
All are welcome to join us for the County Service to celebrate the Coronation. Prior to the service, from 3 pm, Peter Dyke will be playing a selection of majestic pieces on the Father Willis organ.
