ID course on Herefordshire’s birds of conservation interest
As opposed to focusing on common birds, this workshop will look at what makes Herefordshire’s avifauna significant and unique on a national basis; focusing on the notable species and habitats which define the county’s distinctive avian character.
Species will be compartmentalised by typical habitat (woodland, uplands, heath, wetlands) and we will explore how to identify these species, discuss their unique ecology and what their status is in the county.
This will be an ID course for those who already have some birdwatching experience, but those who merely wish to learn about the county’s rarer species are also welcome.
