Pay What You Decide at Theatre Show Tapped
Audiences can pay what they decide for Bethany Cooper and Theatre503’s production of Tapped by Katie Redford at The Courtyard this May.
Gavi wants to inspire his community. Which is tricky when everyone would prefer to just stay at home and watch Bake Off. With the help of daily mantras, goal setting and repeatedly listening to Spandau Ballet, he believes he can change their lives for the better.
Tapped is a witty and sensitive portrayal of managing mental health within a family, highlighting the barriers we put up, whilst having those all-important lightbulb moments, like realising Aldi really does sell everything.
Tapped has an age guidance of 14+ and triggering themes include: derogatory language surrounding mental health, bereavement, depression, suicide, crime and violence.
Tapped is part of The Courtyard’s Pay What You Decide initiative.
Pay What You Decide allows audiences to book tickets to participating shows for free, and then decide what they would like to pay for their ticket after they have watched the performance.
Tickets are available to book in advance as usual, online or via Box Office, but there is no obligation to pay until after the performance. Audiences can then decide on a price which they think is suitable based on their experience. At the end of the show, Stewards will be on the door to take payments via cash or card.
All money collected will help The Courtyard pay the artists who have performed, and the organisation therefore hopes audiences will give generously.
Tapped will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Wednesday 10 May at 7.45pm. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
