Join the celebration of the launch of The Pembridge Map which has been embroidered by the Pembridge Tapestry Group over the last two years.
The map will be launched on the weekend of 24th – 27th May in St Mary’s Church, where it will go on permanent exhibition. The map, which has been beautifully mounted and framed will be unveiled on the evening of Friday 24th May by Dr Alex Langland who was one of the presenters on channel 4’s Village of the Year Competition.
Following the Launch there is a programme of events for the weekend including a pageant, walks, talks, Taiko Drumming Band, Pembridge School Choir, Knighton Silver Band, Visiting bellringers, stalls and demonstrations on the lawned area, Festival Service, lunchtime barbecue with Little Wren Vocalist and a Ceilidh in the church. The church will be decorated with displays by businesses Past and Present and local groups.
Refreshments and a licensed bar will be available all weekend.
The event has been funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and generous donations from local families and businesses.
