Peterchurch Jubilee Celebrations 2022
Peterchurch Community Panel comprises individuals and organisations based in and around Peterchurch. The Panel is planning red, white and blue flower planters, crochet bunting, Royal-themed scarecrows, an exhibition, live music, a community picnic, drumming and dance workshops, shoebox theatres and children’s activities for the residents of Peterchurch and the local area. Events, workshops and activities are expected to be free of charge but some will need to be pre-booked due to limits on numbers. For other events, such as the community picnic, no advanced booking is required.
Peterchurch Parish Council is kindly funding Jubilee seed packs for every household in the village. If you live in Peterchurch, you should have received your pack by now so please plant your poppies, ox-eye daisies and cornflowers as quickly as possible to make Peterchurch blooming lovely for the Jubilee!
The Peterchurch in Picture Facebook Group are exhibiting in The Hub over the course of the long bank holiday weekend and they are looking for old photographs of historic jubilee celebrations held in or around Peterchurch. If you have any pictures which you would be willing for them to copy and display, please contact Holly on 01981 551143 or email her via info@hubcommunity.org
Are you feeling creative? If so, please display a Royal scarecrow outside your home during the bank holiday weekend.
We would love to see as many kings, queens, princes, princesses, dukes and duchesses as you can manage. The only limit is your imagination!
Peterchurch Primary School will kindly host a community picnic in the school grounds on Saturday. Please ‘save the date’, dust off your picnic rugs and more information will follow.
We are organising creative workshops, drumming sessions and a magic show, as well as a family dance class.
Please keep an eye out for further announcements!
