Ross on Wye Carnival procession

Ross on Wye Carnival

Ross-on-Wye Carnival is organised by a team of local volunteers and the event is supported by many of Ross-on-Wye’s businesses and charities.

Every year the annual procession makes its way around the town’s centre, showing off a magnificent display of floats and fancy dress.  Anyone can take part in the carnival, with some great prizes up for grab.

The procession ends at the Ropewalk where you will find plenty of great entertainment including a fun fair, many different stalls and a wide range of food and drink. You can see a map of the full procession route here.

The carnival was revived in 1977 by a dedicated committee in celebration of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee after years of there being no parade in the town. It’s origins however stretch back though to the 1920’s.
