‘Sing for Fun’ workshop
Sing Mozart’s Coronation Mass for fun in Hereford on 2 March
Hereford Choral Society invites singers of all ages and abilities to take part in a ‘Sing for Fun’ workshop morning on Mozart’s sparkling ‘Coronation’ Mass, led by Geraint Bowen in Broadlands School, Hereford from 10 am – 1.30 pm on Saturday 2 March 2017.
The choral sections of the work will be rehearsed over the course of the morning, with a break for hot drinks and cake, and there will be a run-through of the complete work with professional soloists at around 12.15 pm.
Pamela White, chairman of Hereford Choral Society, said: ‘Our “Sing for Fun” events complement our regular concert performances in Hereford Cathedral, and are a wonderful way for us to share the joy of singing with others. We hope they will introduce people to music they may not know and possibly inspire less experienced singers to join a choir themselves. There is a social element too, of course – we will work hard during the morning but we will also have fun!’
