SSAFA & Samaritans Concert: Can you hear me?
Concert in aid of SSAFA & Samaritans Herefordshire
On Friday 14 October Hereford Cathedral welcomes back the popular fundraising concert hosted by SSAFA Herefordshire and Herefordshire Samaritans. This year’s concert will explore mental health & wellbeing and is called Can You Hear Me?
Can You Hear Me, is one of local choir Cantabile’s signature songs, which refers to the silent call for help by those struggling with mental health issues.
The performances will include two choirs from Hereford Cathedral School – Cantabile (award winning girls choir) & Colla Voce (Yr 7/8 choir). Performers also include the Marches Military Wives Choir, The Fire Choir, Tarrington Brass and the Orchestra of the Swan – The Swan Trio, who provide musical support for those living with dementia. The concert will feature an opening speech from Kate Bliss.
The evening will culminate in a grand finale of similar style to the ‘last night of the proms’ – hand held union flags will be provided and the usual Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory will be enjoyed by all! Bring along your singing voices and join us for a musical evening for all the family!
A quality souvenir concert programme is included in the ticket price.
Large screens will be positioned for those seats with restricted visibility.
There will be a retiring collection which will support the work of SSAFA and Samaritans – thank you for your support.
