Summer Workshops at The Courtyard

There’s no reason to be bored this summer with The Courtyard in Hereford hosting a range of fun workshops throughout July and August.

BE A STAR! INCLUSIVE WORKSHOP
Monday 12 – Friday 16 | 10.30am – 3pm

Come along to The Courtyard’s inclusive week of arts activities! From drama to dancing to arts & crafts. Make new friends, have fun and be a star! All practitioners and staff are experienced in working with young people who may have special educational needs and/or disabilities. HORRIBLE HISTORIES WORKSHOPS
Monday 19 – Friday 23 | 10am – 3pm

Horrible History enthusiasts do we have a treat for you, in this workshop we will have lots of fun exploring some of the most gruesome time periods. From the Savage Stone Age to Terrifying Tudors, not forgetting the Vicious Vikings or Rotten Romans! The week will be full of ghastly games, lots of awesome acting and some sensational singing! Be warned, there may be some dodgy dancing thrown in as well! Recommended ages 7 – 12. Breakfast club and Lunch club available to add on.

ART AT THE YARD, DISCOVER THE WORLD
Tuesday 27 & Wednesday 28 | 10am – 1pm

It’s holiday time so join us on our exploration of the wonderful world around us. A trip to Hawaii, the Great Barrier Reef or even the Amazon rainforest awaits where children will follow a guided art session exploring different techniques and materials allowing them to produce their own art work which is individual to them. Recommended ages 6+. Lunch club available to add on.

 FILM MAKING WEEK
Tuesday 27 – Friday 30 | 10am – 4pm

Enter the world of film! Get to grips with the basics such as; script writing, story boarding, cinematography, directing, sound and lighting! Working in small groups your crew will explore film making equipment, plan, shoot and edit your own short film. Ending on a high, there will be a special screening of the films created during the week in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre. Recommended ages 13+.
