Mid Wales Opera brings to life one of Shakespeare’s most compelling plays through the medium of opera. This first-ever production by Mid Wales Opera promises an interpretation of a timeless tale, captivating audiences with its score and a modern twist. Coming soon to The Courtyard.

Verdi’s Macbeth weaves a tale of ambition and treachery, following the general Macbeth as he succumbs to the persuasive influence of his wife. Together, they embark on a ruthless quest for the Scottish throne, leading to a series of morally challenging decisions that ultimately bring about their tragic downfall.

Mid Wales Opera’s rendition of Macbeth introduces a modern twist in Act 4. Sung in English, this production showcases the ensemble, who will be accompanied by Ensemble Cymru.
