We’ve put together a round-up of fiery events in Herefordshire over the next few weeks, with some combined with Halloween too for a really spooky spectacle!
Despite the sinister real story behind Bonfire Night, it’s now a time when communities and families come together to celebrate the season, creating memories that sparkle like the rockets soaring overhead.
28 October – Kington Annual Bonfire and Fireworks
Returning a week earlier than most, proving a huge success in 2022 as it allows people to go to other displays the following weekend too. Organised by local firefighters, Kington always put on a good display and a lovely family event.

29 October Pencombe Young Farmers
Pencombe Bonfire and Fireworks, also the weekend before the traditional date but with a Halloween Theme and a pumpkin carving competition! There will be a licensed bar and food available too, a great charity event.

3 November Gwatkin Red Cow Bonfire
No Fireworks due to the nearby livestock but Gwatkin Red Cow in Abbeydore are putting on a Bonfire with Live music, Kitchen BBQ, Full bar and Mulled Cider. No need to book, just turn up!

4 November Ewyas Harold Bonfire Night and Firework Display
Back with a bang, Ewyas Harold Bonfire Night and Firework display will be held at Ewyas Harold Playing Fields and promises a display to wow. Pay on gate, Cash only (no card facilities).

4 November Ross Fireworks Display
Organised by the Ross-on-Wye Lions Club to raise funds for charities, enjoy hot food, ice creams, hot drinks plus an onsite bar run by Ross-on-Wye Rowing Club, as well as a bouncy castle, light sticks and lit novelties.

5 November Bartestree and Lugwardine Fireworks

5 November Lynhales Fireworks Event
Family and friends of residents as well as the local community are invited to Lynhales Hall Nursing Home in Lyonshall for a Winter BBQ and Fireworks display. Booking your ticket is essential, the event is FREE and includes a Burger or Hotdog!

Hereford Young Farmers’ Bonfire Night
A Bonfire Night Celebration at Breinton Manor Fruit Farm with Burgers, Hotdogs and Refreshments available. Always a good night with the Hereford Young Farmers.

5 November Tupsley Quarry Bonfire Family Event
A stalwart event in the calendar, this popular event has grown over the years and is always very popular. It is again planned that there will be a quieter display this year, as this proved successful last year and offers consideration to local neighbours and children.

5 November Abergavenny Fireworks Extravaganza
Two displays, the first a quieter, mini display suitable for smaller children, followed by an amazing pyromusical display, which is choreographed to a spooky soundtrack, accompanied by a fantastic light show! See both displays for the price of one if you like.

Herefordshire comes alive with the vibrant colours and crackling sounds of bonfires and fireworks as autumn paints the landscape with hues of gold and crimson, enjoy this wonderful time of year with lots of ‘Ooh’s and Aahs’.
