Now in its ninth year, Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire (ESL) hosted a highly engaging Tourism Forum this February at one of the county’s most secluded luxury holiday resorts, Lakes Edge, in Pudleston near Leominster.
The grounds of historic Pudleston Court welcomed a large contingent of the region’s tourism providers, from accommodation to food and drink, attractions and shopping destinations. Lake’s Edge Business Manager, Rhi, gave a behind-the-scenes insight into the journey and operations accompanying the development and running of 50 acre estate, which includes original properties that have had modern additions, and modern barn conversions with private swimming pools. Immaculately kept secret gardens, hidden gateways, wildlife and nature-laden woodlands provide walks galore for all ages.
ESL was honoured to be the first ‘corporate’ business to hold an event at Lake Edge, and the estate is looking to open this area up as a space for meetings and events of all kinds available to hire.
After a chance to mingle and network, ESL imparted their promotional plans for Herefordshire through 2024, which will include focuses on Group Travel, Experiential Tourism and exciting new trails for all ages.
Always keen to support their local community, the team then welcomed powerful presentations from local charity the ELY Memorial Fund and Holistic Practitioner Joanna Bruce MBE from The Body Clinic. After which there was a chance to tour Lakes Edge with Rhi and her team and see inside the glamorous properties.
“We are always delighted with the response to our Forums”, smiled ESL’s Founder and MD Heidi Chamberlain-Jones. “Bringing people together to exchange ideas and make connections if very valuable in a rural community like Herefordshire. Most of our Tourism businesses are owner operated and every day is a challenge, so these events help to uplift and empower them, bringing like-minded people together.”
“ESL’s energy and proactiveness is rewarding to be around” said ESL Member Juliet Williams of Lowe Farm B&B “We have been with them since they started and what they have done for Herefordshire tourism businesses is outstanding.”
Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire will soon be releasing the region’s 2024 Ultimate Guide Book series, and brand new Herefordshire for Groups booklet, and the third annual Herefoodie dedicated food and drink guide.
See their Herefordshire stand at the British Tourism & Travel Show at Birmingham’s NEC 20-21 March for group travel inspiration.
