A truly exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for the expanding gardens on this historic estate. This is a very varied role that includes growing vegetables and fruit for Pensons, the only Michelin-starred restaurant in the area, maintenance of established herbaceous gardens across the Estate, propagating and general garden maintenance.
Must enjoying being part of a team as well as working unsupervised. Ideally for someone with a ready smile, love of gardening and the countryside, willingness to learn, interest in sustainable techniques and some mechanical empathy, who also wants to contribute ideas to continually make improvements. It would be beneficial if you enjoy chatting to people so feel comfortable talking to restaurant guests who look around the kitchen garden and help communicate Pensons story.
Ideally you should have an RHS level 2 qualification, but RHS level 1 or those with no formal horticultural qualifications but relevant experience and the right attitude will be considered. Training will be provided, where required. Valid driving licence essential due to rural location.
This is a full time role, reporting to our Head Gardener. Live out.
