The Harp at Old Radnor is a lovely old Welsh longhouse inn perched on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Radnor Valley, close to the Powys/Herefordshire border.
Independently owned and run by Chris and Angela Ireland, The Harp is a real pub, with ancient slate floors, oak beams, antique settles and a huge open log fire. A lovely place to visit for good food, good beer, comfortable rooms and friendly service.
There are five comfortable guest bedrooms, two are doubles, two have a double and a single bed so can be doubles, twins or family rooms, one has a double and two single beds.
Four of the rooms have views of the surrounding hills and one has a view out over the garden to the sheep grazing on the hillside beyond. All have small flatscreen TVs with Freeview channels and access to free wifi.
Packed lunches for walkers and riders are available on request.
Well-behaved dogs welcome in the bar and in the rooms (but not on the furniture) subject to a small charge of £10 per dog per stay to cover additional cleaning costs. Bowls, towels and treats are available and there are some lovely walks for you to take with your dog.
