The Harp at Old Radnor
The Harp at Old Radnor is a lovely old Welsh longhouse inn perched on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Radnor Valley, close to the Powys/Herefordshire border.
Independently owned and run by Chris and Angela Ireland, The Harp is a real pub, with ancient slate floors, oak beams, antique settles and a huge open log fire. A lovely place to visit for good food, good beer, comfortable rooms and friendly service.
There are five comfortable guest bedrooms, two are doubles, two have a double and a single bed so can be doubles, twins or family rooms, one has a double and two single beds.
Four of the rooms have views of the surrounding hills and one has a view out over the garden to the sheep grazing on the hillside beyond. All have small flat screen TVs with Freeview channels and access to free Wi-Fi.
Packed lunches for walkers and riders are available on request.
Well-behaved dogs welcome in the bar and in the rooms (but not on the furniture) subject to a small charge of £10 per dog per stay to cover additional cleaning costs. Bowls, towels and treats are available and there are some lovely walks for you to take with your dog.
