In the village of Ewyas Harold in the South West of Herefordshire are the delightful Pomona Cottage and Cider House holiday cottages on Old King Street Farm.
The beams of these barn conversions still show where the machinery of the original apple press and feed troughs used to hang.
Sympathetic and uncluttered, offering spaciousness and comfort, the cottages are open-plan and equipped with all that could be needed for a pleasant stay in the country.
The Five Star rated Cider House sleeps two in a King sized antique brass bed with bathroom with both bath and shower. Four Star rated Pomona Cottage has a King sized bed in the double bedroom upstairs with the rest of the cottage on the ground floor. Here is the twin bedroom, living room, kitchen-diner and shower room.
The cottages are on a working llama farm and guests may choose to arrange a walk with these charming woolly companions. There are ten acres of fields and woodland to stroll through and you may decide to wander down to the stream or to take a picnic by the lake.
The cottages overlook Ewyas Harold with its pubs, shop, post office, butcher and chip shop.
Prices from £240 for a low season three-night break to £630 for a peak week.
