The Throne is a beautiful Grade 2*-listed house in one of the best preserved black and white villages, set in gorgeous countryside. The owners have added a huge open plan living area to the medieval building to create a stunning and relaxed place to stay. Outside there is a fully enclosed garden with large lawn, pretty patios, trampoline and flower beds.
The Throne has 7 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, generous entertaining space and on-site activities, the Throne is dog friendly, ideal for family holidays, friend reunions and special celebrations. It’s also very popular with smaller groups thanks to a 35% discount for up to 6 people using 3 bedrooms.
The house has a fascinating history and a Royal connection – begun in 1478 and expanded in 16th century, it hosted Charles I for a night during the English Civil War. The original Tudor bedrooms, and 15th century wing contain secret passages, original floorboards and glimpses of wattle and daub.
