Set in the tranquil hamlet of Carey in south
east Herefordshire the Cottage of Content
is a long established country restaurant and
pub with rooms, living up to its fairytale name,
with the picture-book beamed building and
roses around the door.
A wonderful foodie destination, run by husband
and wife team, Richard and Helen. The Cottage
of Content’s contemporary cuisine is derived from
fine ingredients sourced from around the area and
seasonal dishes ensure there are always regular
favourites and a range of specials. The friendly
bar includes local ales, ciders and perry.
Open for lunch and dinner Thursday-Saturday.

Casual Dining with Rooms and a very Warm Welcome
The Temple Bar Inn, B&B, and Restaurant, independently
owned and fi rst licensed in the 1850s, is a beautiful
Virginia Creeper-clad stone building that changes
appearance throughout the year. It is a focal point for the
village of Ewyas Harold in the heart of the Golden Valley,
Herefordshire.
You’ll receive a warm welcome from the landlord and locals and
fi nd a well-stocked bar with local ales and spirits, and a seasonal
menu featuring fresh local produce. The restaurant, located on
the other side of a dual-aspect fi replace with a cosy wood burner
for winter, offers outside seating in a side beer garden and
courtyard, with a pub herb garden and blooming roses in summer.
Open for lunch and dinner, booking is recommended year-round,
especially for their delightful Sunday Lunch. Check the website
