Row across Berrington Hall’s lake and soak up summer views

The National Trust invites visitors to experience the timeless charm of Georgian leisure with boating on the lake at Berrington Hall, running from 18 to 31 August 2025

Set within the sweeping landscape designed by 18th century landscape architect Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, this tranquil experience offers a unique way to explore one of Herefordshire’s most iconic settings. Guests can enjoy a 30-minute rowing boat ride, gliding across peaceful waters surrounded by nature and history.

Izzy Froggatt, Programming and Partnerships Officer, National Trust Herefordshire said:

“This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with the landscape in a way that echoes the romance of the Georgian era,”

“It’s also a wonderfully different way to connect with nature — a chance to spot herons, water lilies, water birds, and maybe even the elusive otter.”
