Never Forgotten at Hereford Cathedral

Hereford Cathedral will host “Never Forgotten”, a commemorative concert on Friday 10 October 2025, marking two significant milestones: the 140th anniversary of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, and 80 years since the end of World War II. The event is organised to raise funds for SSAFA Herefordshire, which provides vital support to local veterans, serving personnel, and their families.

The concert will feature performances from a wide range of local and regional ensembles, including the Military Veterans Choir, Marches Military Wives Choir, Bromyard Symphonic Wind Band, and members of the Orchestra of the Swan. Also performing are several choirs from Hereford Cathedral School, including the multi-award-winning girls’ choir Cantabile, the Senior Chamber Choir, and Colla Voce.

Alexandra James will compère the evening, which will conclude with a rousing “Last Night of the Proms” style finale, inviting audience participation.

Tickets range from £5 to £20, all of which include a souvenir programme. To ensure accessibility, large TV screens will be available in areas with limited views of the stage.

SSAFA has supported the Armed Forces community since 1885, offering practical, emotional, and financial assistance to those in need, regardless of whether they are in active service or retired.
