Introduction to the Potter’s Wheel
Making a pot on the potter’s wheel is one of those ‘always wanted to do’ activities. This incredibly enjoyable 90-minute experience offers the opportunity to do just that. Participants share a potter’s wheel, one between two, making it just perfect for small groups and couples. Individuals are most welcome too – many friendships have been forged sharing a wheel at Eastnor Pottery.
You get two goes each and definitely won’t be bored waiting your turn. It’s a fantastic spectator sport, in fact, you learn more watching your potting partner than when sitting at the wheel yourself.

Eastnor Pottery was established in 1994. Originally, for workshop space, they used a redundant cottage on the Eastnor Castle Estate. As their reputation and practice grew, they expanded next door, purchased more equipment and began to share this magical space with others. Sarah Monk and Jon Williams founders and co directors of Eastnor Pottery, met as young art students studying ceramics in Bath. Both are makers in their own right, exhibiting and selling unique designs.
