Bromyard Christmas Lights Switch on

Bromyard is a very special place all year round but never more so than at Christmas when the main streets are festooned with strings of lights for the town’s fabled Christmas Illuminations, reputed to be the best display in Herefordshire.

A fun-filled day including Santa’s Parade, Santa’s Grotto, Lantern Parade, Christmas Market, Live Music, Video Screen, decorated pram, bicycle, wheelchair and scooter competition, and Christmas Lantern making workshops.

About the team behind the lights: We are a team entirely made of volunteers who build and erect the Christmas lights in Bromyard, Herefordshire every year. The group has been in operation for nearly sixty years and its members are from all walks of life who bring a wide range of skills and experience. Every new addition to the display is built by hand, by ourselves, in Bromyard.

Our current members are a mix of people who are new to us, to those who are second and even third generation Christmas lighters, and some who have been involved since the 1960’s. We all share the same passion of making Bromyard shine.
