Baking for Autism by Kemble Home

Kemble at Home, the National Autistic Society (NAS) in Hereford, The Courtyard and The Den Restaurant are getting together for a special “bake-off” for people with autism.

The event will take place at The Den Restaurant in Hereford on April 2 – the last day of Autism Awareness Week and will give people the chance to bake a variety of cupcakes from scratch.
Chef Gavin from The Den, in West Street, will give expert tuition to show how the cupcakes should be made, and then everyone will be able to follow the recipes and have a go themselves. The Courtyard will be at hand to advise on different creative ways to decorate the cupcakes once they have been baked .
The organisers are hoping for a wide spread of ages at the bake-off, and it will be appropriate for older people as well as young. The workshop is free and donations to NAS Herefordshire are requested.
Ultimately, it’s all about having fun and spreading awareness about the support which is on offer here in Herefordshire.
