Cider Making Experience with The Ciderologist
Last but not least for the Cider Safari October showcase, on Saturday 24th October, The Ciderologist has teamed up with Dragon Orchard to host a Cider Making Experience.
The Stanier family have been growing apples in Putley for 4 generations. The current generation, Norman and Annie Stanier, have cultivated Dragon Orchard into a sustainable business mixing community enterprise and commercial apple production. It is the perfect place to learn the fundamental steps of cider making,
By the end of the day not only will you have learn the basic principles of cider making and pressed juice ready to take away to make your own fine cider, but you will be full of wonderful stories about the people, the apples and the landscapes which have created such a heritage of cider in Herefordshire.
The day includes a wonderful apple picker’s lunch of local, hearty fare and apple juice made in the orchard. What better way could you spend a fun, friendly and informative Saturday in the “season of mists and mellow fruitfulness”.
£175 per person, includes Apple Picker’s Lunch.
