Harry Potter Book Night c Caroline Potter Hereford Cathedral

Harry Potter Booknight

Broomsticks at the ready…wizards, witches and muggles of all ages are invited to Hereford Cathedral on Thursday 25 September to celebrate Harry Potter Book Night. The night is hosted annually in libraries, schools and venues across the globe and coordinated by Bloomsbury Publishers Co.

The theme of this year’s Harry Potter Book Night is ‘Magical Creatures’.

All Potter fanatics are welcome for this family friendly evening of spellbinding story-telling in the Chained Library with activities and photo opportunities aplenty, as the magic of the wizarding world is recreated within the walls of the cathedral’s Bishop’s Cloister and Lady Arbour Garden.

The cafe will be open and selling tasty treats and goodie bag gifts.

Dress code: all things magical!

The event begins at 5.30 pm with staggered entry slots every 30mins. Once inside, stay for as long as you like to fully immerse in the wonders of the magical world.

Tickets go live from Tuesday 26 August. This event is free but booking is essential. Due to venue capacity spaces are limited so please ensure you book a ticket for each member of your group attending.
