Applefest 24

Hereford Applefest

Hereford AppleFest returns from 28 September to 13 October, celebrating Herefordshire’s iconic apple heritage with two weeks of apple-themed events across the County.

The festival kicks off on 28 September with a day of live music, performances, artisan cider, perry, apple juice, children’s activities, and more. Last year’s event drew hundreds to Hereford city centre, and 2024 promises to be just as exciting.

Fringe events will occur in various locations, featuring cider and perry talks, tastings, orchard tours, live music, and more. Many of Herefordshire’s top cider and perry producers will offer exclusive experiences. Click here for more details.

Herefordshire boasts over 15,000 acres of orchards producing 150,000 tonnes of apples and pears annually, with numerous cider makers across the region. The area’s ideal soils and climate, combined with centuries of expertise, make it perfect for growing and crafting fine apple juice, cider, and perry. Hereford AppleFest celebrates this heritage with two weeks of related experiences.

The festival concludes with the AppleFest Banquet, a unique pome-themed feast at Hereford Town Hall’s Assembly Hall, sure to delight cider and perry enthusiasts.

Hereford AppleFest, now in its third year, brings fantastic events to the County, celebrating Herefordshire’s deep connection to apples.
