Herefordshire Walking Festival 2

Herefordshire Walking Festival

Enjoy wonderful walks and amazing views this summer, join in the fun of The Herefordshire Walking Festival 2023.

Nine days – over 50 walks and one beautiful county to explore…

Herefordshire is fortunate to be surrounded by magnificent scenery – the Wye Valley AONB, The Offas Dyke, Malvern Hills AONB, Brecon Beacons National Park, Mortimer Forest and numerous Nature Reserves dotted all over the county.

The first Herefordshire Walking Festival was organised in 2002 to signal that the county was open for walking again, after the foot and mouth epidemic in 2001 brought tourism in such a rural county to a halt. Since then, walking has become a pivotal factor in attracting visitors to the county with Herefordshire responding by introducing the Walkers Are Welcome Towns of Ross-on-WyeKington, Leominster and Bromyard along with their Walking Festivals and events.

The festival is widely known as ‘the friendly walking festival’. We always receive such positive feedback from people who always feel welcomed, especially if travelling on their own. Herefordshire Ramblers and Disabled Ramblers in ensure our festival is accessible for all and walks range from 2 – 25 miles.

All walks must be booked in advance at Herefordshire Walking Festival
