India & The Apple Tree

The Museum of Cider, Hereford is excited to announce the wonderful Priya Mani will be delivering a workshop titled ‘India & the Apple’ on the 6 of April 2024.

Priya, who is based in Copenhagen, will be coming to Hereford to share her knowledge. A designer and cultural researcher, Priya writes about migration and food (amongst many other things). Her online work ‘A Visual Encyclopaedia of Indian Food’ (insta: @cookalore) was the winner of the Guild of Food Writers Award for Best Online Food Writing 2022.

Using Kashmiri papier-mâché designs for inspiration, Priya will guide you in painting your own wooden apple cutout. She will also discuss the history of the apple in India and its use in Indian cooking.
