Knife Angel Hereford Tupsley Walk

Knife Angel Hereford Tupsley Walk 7.5 miles

The purpose of the walk is to visit the Knife Angel in Hereford Cathedral grounds for a 40 minutes visit and lunch break.

The Bishop of Hereford warmly invites visitors to the cathedral during opening hours, where they may pause for reflection, and perhaps say a prayer and light a candle at the shrine of St Thomas of Hereford.

Walkers bring a packed lunch and snacks.

DOGS are welcome on this walk and must be kept on a short lead at all times

Meet at Cock of Tupsley Car Park, Tupsley, HR1 1UT on Tuesday 22 June at 9.00am, Walking through rural, urban and riverside paths in the Hereford City enviroment. Visiting Tupsley, Hampton Park, Hereford Cathedral, the River Wye, Aylestone and Lugg Meadows. Finish time is approximate.
Also known as the National Monument Against Violence and Aggression, this magnificent 27ft statue built from 100,000 confiscated knives and blades will come to the city on Monday 14 June and will remain in place outside the West door of Hereford Cathedral until 12 July.
The Knife Angel will be located outside the cathedral and will be free to visit with no need for visitors to book in advance. Relevant precautions, including a one-way system around the Knife Angel and volunteer stewarding teams, will be in place during the day to help welcome and guide visitors.
