Marches Makers Festival is an exciting new arts festival is held on the Early Spring Bank Holiday in the Marches border town of Kington from 4-6 May 2019.
With over 90 exhibitors in 12 venues the Marches Makers Festival offers a wonderful variety of art and craft. Fast becoming a major art event in the county, the festival offers local artists and makers an opportunity to showcase their work and reach a wider audience.
Venues and Galleries
Venues include the beautiful St Mary’s Church, local galleries, Penrhos Court, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Market Hall and the Old Police Station. The Art and Craft Market is on Saturday and Sunday, hosting many stalls and live demonstrations. On Saturday evening PML Productions presents a music event: Belshazzar’s Feast (“A blend of serious musicianship and dedicated subversion” – Living Tradition).
Marches Makers is a group of artists, crafters and makers based in and around Kington. The town has become a focal point for makers of all kinds over the years, and we felt we should come together to support each other, promote the fruits of our labours and let the world know just how much wonderful art and craft there is here.
