Sing For Fun

Hereford Choral Society’s Saturday morning Sing for Fun sessions are back!

Please do join the choir on Saturday 5 March from 9.30 (registration) until around 1 pm, to sing through the score of Haydn’s Nelson Mass, under the expert direction of Geraint Bowen, accompanied on the piano by the equally skilled Peter Dyke. The Mass is subtitled ‘Missa in angustiis’, or ‘Mass in troubled times’, which has a certain resonance at the moment, but it is great fun to sing. As usual we will learn the work section by section, and finish with a complete performance.

Our venue is the spacious hall of Broadlands Primary School, tickets are priced at £15 but under 25s may attend free of charge.

Everyone is welcome – if your singing skills are a bit rusty you will find this is an excellent opportunity to brush them up. This year we request that you bring your own refreshments. The event takes place in aid of choral society funds, and we will of course be applying any Covid-related guidelines/regulations stipulated by the government at the time.
