Understanding Bookbindings

An immersive two-day seminar for librarians, archivists, volunteers, and anyone working with collections of historic bindings who would like to understand more about the books that they handle.

Participants will experience a variety of historic bindings first-hand, including guided access to the collection at Hereford Cathedral. The course will also include sessions on materials and formats, safe handling, and a tour of Hereford Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition.

This seminar costs £350 per person including teas and coffees.
