Wassail at Lower House Farm

Wassail at Lower House Farm

Now becoming a regular fixture in Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s annual calendar, the staff would like to invite its volunteers, members and the general public to come to its third Wassail event to bless the fruit trees in its traditional orchard at the traditional ancient ceremonial celebration. So come help the Trust to awaken the cider apple trees in its traditional orchard and scare away the evil spirits to ensure a good harvest of fruit in the autumn!

Rocket Café will once again serve up some warming winter food to beat the cold and to sample some of Orchard Origins’ mulled cider and apple juice. There will also be the chance to learn some wassailing songs from our merry band of musician singers and sing along with them around a fire.

This event is again being held largely as a thank you to its many valued volunteers who give so much of their time to help the Trust carry out much of its work.

Parking will be available at The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School, who have generously made their car park available for this event.
