Time: A Sound and Light Journey at Hereford Cathedral

Hereford Cathedral will once again open its doors this January to a breath-taking fusion of art, history, and imagination as Luxmuralis return with their next immersive spectacle: Time.

Following the phenomenal success of Space in 2024, which drew over seven thousand visitors in just four magical nights, anticipation is building. This new installation promises not only to match that wonder but to expand it, guiding audiences on an evocative journey across the vast landscape of time itself.

A Cathedral Transformed

For four unforgettable evenings, the interior of Hereford Cathedral will be reimagined. Walls, arches, and sacred spaces will dissolve into a vivid cascade of projected art, transforming the cathedral into a living canvas. Visitors will step into an immersive world where light and sound intertwine and where time becomes something you can walk through.

Created by the award-winning artistic duo Luxmuralis, sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper Time blends storytelling, science, and spirituality. Each projection, each note of music, carries viewers from the present day through the vast sweep of history, and further still, toward the very origins of the universe.

A Journey Through Time Itself

This is not simply a light show; it’s an experience. Audiences will travel through wormholes, peer inside the intricate workings of clocks, and encounter moments that shaped existence. Rich visuals and an enveloping musical score will combine to ignite curiosity and stir reflection.

The result is a sensory encounter that speaks to all ages, families, history lovers, science enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates beauty crafted through technology and imagination.

Time promises to be one of the year’s most remarkable cultural events in Herefordshire. Whether you’re a returning visitor from Space or discovering Luxmuralis for the first time, prepare for a journey that will linger long after the lights fade.
